Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro is just a bit better than Sony Xperia Tablet S, getting a general score of 63.2 against 58.9. Even being the best tablet in this review, the Microsoft Surface Pro design is heavier and thicker than the Sony Xperia Tablet S. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro OS, while Sony Xperia Tablet S works with Android 4.1.1 OS.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a little more vivid screen than Xperia Tablet S, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920, a quite larger display and more pixels per screen inch. Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit bigger storage to install applications and games than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB more internal storage capacity.

The Microsoft Surface Pro features a little better performance than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with a much better GPU running at 650 MHz and a larger amount of RAM. The Xperia Tablet S features a better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a much more MP back facing camera.

Xperia Tablet S features a battery performance that is very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro one.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xperia Tablet S, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xperia Tablet S. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Xperia Tablet S, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
