Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), with a score of 65.1 against 58.6. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Even being the best in this review, it must be told that it is also extremely older, heavier and a lot thicker.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has just a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a little sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot larger screen, a quite better display pixel density and a lot better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) shoots greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video quality. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a superior memory to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 both have really similar battery performance.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), giving up a couple specs and features.
