Microsoft Surface 3 has a global score of 66.3, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2's global score of 65.1. Microsoft Surface 3's construction is newer, way thinner and extremely lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has 4 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of cores.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a little bit better screen than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a just a bit inferior pixels count per screen inch, a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a little bit smaller screen. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 3, because it has 384 GB more internal storage.

Microsoft Surface 3 captures much clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a lot higher (Full HD) video definition. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and Microsoft Surface 3 count with quite similar batteries performance.

Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs more than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface Pro 2. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 3, otherwise you can save some money and get the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, giving up some features and specs.
