Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2's global score of 65.1. Both devices we are comparing come with the same Windows 8.1 Pro OS (operating system). Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a noticeably thinner and lighter tablet device than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, even when both of them were released only 8 months apart.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a processing unit that is just as good as Microsoft Surface Pro 2's processing unit, both have a 8 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a bit larger screen, a just a bit better quantity of pixels in each inch of display and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2160 pixels.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 both have similar memory capacity to install applications and games, and although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has no SD memory card expansion slot, they both have the same 512 GB internal storage capacity. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 both feature quite similar batteries.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 takes way better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a way better (Full HD) video quality.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most out of your money.
