Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a score of 65.1, which is a bit better than Samsung ATIV Tab 3's 65 general score. Both of these tablets include Windows OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a newer 8.1 Pro version and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 version, so it gives a couple additional features and a performance increase. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, it must be noted that it's also way thicker and way heavier.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a bit superior processing unit than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has 6 GB more RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a quite bigger screen, a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px and more pixels per inch in the screen.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a lot bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. Samsung ATIV Tab 3's battery duration is just as good as Microsoft Surface Pro 2's battery performance.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 captures much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a lot higher (Full HD) video definition.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 2, otherwise you can save some money and get the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, giving up some features and specs.
