Comparison review
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, getting a 69.2 score against 65.1. These tablets use Windows OS (Operating System), but Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has the previous 8 version and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 Pro. Samsung ATIV Tab 5's construction is noticeably thinner and lighter than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, despite of the fact that it was released only 13 months before.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a bit faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has 6 GB more RAM memory. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features just a bit better display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher 1080 x 1920 resolution and much more pixels per inch in the screen.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a much greater storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory capacity. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 takes much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing, Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, which makes it a great choice.
