The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), getting a general score of 65.1 against 60.7. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) has Android 4.1 OS. Microsoft Surface Pro 2's design is newer, but noticeably heavier and notably thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0).

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because it has a much larger display, a much better resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a just a bit higher pixels number per inch in the display. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a superior CPU than Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and although they both have a Dual-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) features a superior battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) counts with a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. They have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 video definition.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0). If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0), letting go a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
