Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, getting a 65.1 score against 60.5. Despite being the best tablet we are comparing, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 body is older, thicker and much heavier than Galaxy Tab A 9.7. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Galaxy Tab A 9.7 comes with Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has 2 lesser CPU cores , it also counts with more RAM memory. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has an incredibly better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because it has a way better 1080 x 1920 resolution, a lot greater pixel density and a little bigger display.
Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a very superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 496 GB more internal memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a greater camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 2. Both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution.
The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a much better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 2.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Galaxy Tab A 9.7. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A 9.7, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
