Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 is slightly better than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, getting a global score of 70 against 65.1. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2's design is newer, way thinner and notably lighter than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 works with Android 9.0 Pie OS, while Microsoft Surface Pro 2 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro OS.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has a bit superior processor than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has 5 GB less RAM memory, it also counts with a greater number of 1600 MHz cores. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a little bit better looking display than Galaxy Tab Active 2, because it has a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920, a really bigger display and a little bit more pixels per screen inch.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a much better memory for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab Active 2 takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a way higher 1920x1080 video quality.

So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2, else you can save some money and buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, letting go some specs and features.
