Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a score of 54.2, which is slightly better than HP ElitePad 1000's 52 overall score. Despite being the best device in this review, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a much thicker and a lot heavier device than the HP ElitePad 1000. Both of these tablets use Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has the newer 8.1 Pro version and HP ElitePad 1000 has Windows 8.1 version, providing you lots of additional features.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a brighter display than HP ElitePad 1000, because although it has a bit lower display pixels density and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 1920px, it also counts with a little bigger display. The HP ElitePad 1000 counts with a lot bigger storage to install games and applications than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 counts with a way better hardware performance than HP ElitePad 1000, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has a greater number of cores. The HP ElitePad 1000's battery performance is very similar to the battery duration in Microsoft Surface Pro 2.

HP ElitePad 1000 takes greater pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 costs a bit more than the HP ElitePad 1000, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
