Both of these devices use Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has the older 10 Pro version while Microsoft Surface 2 has Windows RT 8.1 version. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a notably newer and a little bit thinner tablet than the Microsoft Surface 2, but it is also somewhat heavier.
