The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is better than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, having a score of 82.4 against 72.2. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s construction is newer, just a little lighter and a bit thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. These tablets have Windows OS (Operating System), but Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has the previous 10 Pro version and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) both count with incredibly similar screens, although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a little smaller display, a much lower 1440 x 2160 resolution and a little worse count of pixels per inch of screen. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a much bigger storage for apps and games than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 488 GB more internal storage.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has a much higher resolution camera in the back.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
