Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has an overall score of 82.4, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT's score of 58.4. Both of these tablets come with Windows OS (Operating System), but the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has older 10 Pro version and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT version. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s body is a lot newer and thinner than Microsoft Surface RT's, but it's also heavier.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features just a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit and an inferior number of cores (although faster), it also counts with a higher amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a much better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a lot more pixels per inch in the screen, a larger screen and a way higher resolution of 2736 x 1824.

The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) shoots much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has a camera in the back with a way better 8 megapixels resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a superior memory capacity to install applications and games than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 1000 GB internal memory.

Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) and Microsoft Surface RT have extremely similar battery durations.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up some specifications.
