Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is much better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, with an 82.4 score against 69.2. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a way newer and somewhat thinner portable tablet than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, but it's just a little bit heavier. Both tablets we are comparing here come with Windows operating system, but the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has the older 10 Pro version and Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has Windows 8.
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) features a little faster processor than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) also has more RAM. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a bit better looking display than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a lot higher resolution of 2736 x 1824 pixels, a bit larger display and much more pixels per screen inch.
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung ATIV Tab 5. Both have a same resolution camera in the back. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a much greater memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 1000 GB internal memory.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).
Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung ATIV Tab 5. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), else you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 5, letting go some specs and features.
