Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a global score of 82.4, which is a little bit better than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s 77.4 general score. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s construction is much newer, but just a little thicker and much heavier than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) works with Windows 10 Pro OS, and GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) counts with Android 4.4.2 OS.

The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a little faster CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has 13 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and more CPU cores. GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) features a brighter display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a bit smaller display and a little lower 1600 x 2560 pixels resolution, it also counts with a quite greater count of pixels in each inch in the screen.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition)'s camera is just as good as the camera in Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), both have a 8 mega-pixels resolution camera in the back, the same video resolution and the same video frame rates. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with a much bigger memory for games and applications than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 1000 GB internal memory.

GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a very superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).

Although Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), else you can save a couple dollars and get the GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), resigning some specs and features.
