Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is way better than the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, getting an 82.4 score against 65.6. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) counts with Windows 10 Pro OS, and Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 counts with Android 4.4.2 OS. The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) is a way newer and just a little thinner tablet device than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, but it is also notably heavier.
The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, because although it has a lower number of cores (although they are faster), it also counts with more RAM. Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 has a little bit better display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a really smaller display, a lot worse 1280 x 800px resolution and a bit lower pixels density.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 shoots much clearer pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), although it has a way worse 3 megapixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot worse 1280x720 video resolution. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0, resigning some specs and features.
