The Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a general score of 82.4, which is better than Galaxy Tab S 10.5's 74.3 general score. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017)'s body is extremely newer than Galaxy Tab S 10.5's, but it's way heavier and noticeably thicker. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has Windows 10 Pro OS, while Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has Android 4.4.2 OS.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017), because although it has a little bit lower resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit better display density. Microsoft Surface Pro (2017) has a little bit better performance than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has an inferior number of cores (although faster), it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 takes better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro (2017).
