Comparison review
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is a bit better than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, with a 69.2 score against 63.4. Both tablets in this review have Windows OS, but the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has an older 8 version and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro. The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 construction is just a bit lighter than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it's a little thicker and was released around 21 months before.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has just a bit better screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 5, because it has a much higher amount of pixels per inch in the screen, a bit larger display and a lot higher 1440 x 2160 resolution. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 counts with a processing unit that's just as good as Microsoft Surface Pro 3's processing unit, and although the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has 2 GB less RAM, they both have a Dual-Core processing unit.
The Samsung ATIV Tab 5 and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 have similar memory for applications, games, photos and videos, and although the Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has no SD card slot, they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory. Samsung ATIV Tab 5 shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a much more mega pixels back facing camera.
Samsung ATIV Tab 5 has a superior battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Despite of being the best tablet in our comparison, Samsung ATIV Tab 5 is also by far the cheapest one, making this tablet a no doubt choice.
