Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is much better than the Acer Iconia W4's 59.3 general score. Both of these devices use Windows OS, but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a more recent 8.1 Pro version while Acer Iconia W4 has Windows 8.1, so it counts with a couple additional features. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 design is incredibly heavier but just a little bit thinner than the Acer Iconia W4.
The Acer Iconia W4 has a little bit better display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, although it has a lot smaller screen, a bit inferior pixels count in each inch in the display and a lot worse resolution of 800 x 1280px. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has just a little better performance than Acer Iconia W4, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with 6 GB more RAM memory.
The Acer Iconia W4 takes better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a back facing camera with a 5 megapixels resolution. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better storage capacity to store more games and applications than Acer Iconia W4, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Acer Iconia W4 features a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia W4, but it's still a convenient choice, because you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
