The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is much better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, getting a general score of 72.2 against 62.5. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Alcatel JOY TAB 2 works with Android 10 operating system. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, we must highlight that it's also a way older, a bit thicker and much heavier device.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a brighter screen than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a much bigger screen, a way better resolution of 1440 x 2160 and a just a little better pixel density. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 5 GB lesser RAM memory, it also counts with a higher number of cores.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both have the same resolution back facing camera, the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a superior battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.

So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, giving up a couple features and specifications.
