Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is a little bit better than the iPad Air (2020)'s 71.7 general score. Although it's the best in our current comparison, we must note that it is also a noticeably older, noticeably heavier and notably thicker tablet. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while iPad Air (2020) has iPadOS 14.x operating system.
The iPad Air (2020) counts with a very superior performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has 4 more cores and a 64 bits processing unit. The Apple iPad Air (2020) counts with a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little greater count of pixels in each display inch and a slightly higher 1640 x 2360 resolution.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much better storage capacity for apps and games than iPad Air (2020), because it has more internal memory. The iPad Air (2020) shoots much clearer photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because it has a lot better 12 mega pixels resolution back-facing camera and a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video resolution.
