Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a score of 72.2, which is better than the Asus MeMO Pad 8's global score of 61.2. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 body is incredibly heavier and somewhat thicker than Asus MeMO Pad 8. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Asus MeMO Pad 8 comes with Android 4.4 operating system.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a bit worse 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, it also counts with a better screen density. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a very superior storage capacity to install games and applications than Asus MeMO Pad 8, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 features a little faster CPU than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with more cpu cores. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and the Asus MeMO Pad 8 have incredibly similar batteries. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a camera that is just as good as Microsoft Surface Pro 3's camera, they have the same video frame rates, the same (HD) video quality and a 5 mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Asus MeMO Pad 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Asus MeMO Pad 8. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Asus MeMO Pad 8, and give up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your money.
