Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is better than Lenovo ThinkPad 8's global score of 64.2. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a a little bit thicker and incredibly heavier tablet than Lenovo ThinkPad 8. Both devices in our current comparison have Windows OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a newer 8.1 Pro version and Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has Windows 8.1 version, so it offers some nice extra features and performance tweaks.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 1920 x 1200px and a much smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per display inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much bigger memory for apps and games than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 6 GB less RAM, it also counts with 2 more processing cores. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 takes clearer photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 also has a much more megapixels camera.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 both feature very similar batteries.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 costs a lot more than Lenovo ThinkPad 8, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
