Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a bit better than Microsoft Surface 3, having a overall score of 72.2 against 66.3. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better tablet than Microsoft Surface 3, we must highlight that it is also older, notably heavier and a little thicker. Microsoft Surface 3 features a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with 2 more 1600 MHz processing cores.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface 3, because it has a little more pixels per inch of display, a little bit higher resolution of 1440 x 2160 pixels and a quite bigger display. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a much bigger memory capacity to store more games and applications than Microsoft Surface 3, because it has 512 GB internal memory.
Microsoft Surface 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 feature really similar batteries. Microsoft Surface 3 has a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface 3. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface 3, resigning some specs and features.
