Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is much better than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, getting a 72.2 score against 65.1. Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 were only released with a few months difference, Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is noticeably thinner and somewhat lighter. These tablets work with the same Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, so they should give the same operating system features.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a slightly better looking screen than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a little higher pixel density, a higher 1440 x 2160 resolution and a little bit larger display. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 count with similar processing units, both of them have a 8 GB RAM and the same number of cores.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 2 have incredibly similar memory to store more apps and games, and although the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has no slot for an SD memory card, they both have exactly the same 512 GB internal memory capacity. Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 both have incredibly similar batteries.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 takes a lot better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a way better (Full HD) video quality.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface Pro 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface Pro 2. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 2, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
