Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way better than the Microsoft Surface RT, with a global score of 72.2 against 58.4. Both tablets in this review use Windows OS, but the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an older 8.1 Pro version and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 design is newer and a little thinner, but also somewhat heavier than Microsoft Surface RT.

Microsoft Surface RT counts with just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a higher number of cores (but slower). The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a quite bigger display, more pixels per inch of display and a much higher 1440 x 2160 resolution.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 captures much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a way more MP camera. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a superior storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal memory.

The Microsoft Surface RT and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 have very similar batteries.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your savings.
