Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an overall score of 72.2, which is much better than the Samsung ATIV Tab 3's general score of 65. Both devices in this review use Windows operating system, but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a newer 8.1 Pro version and Samsung ATIV Tab 3 has Windows 8 version. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a newer tablet than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, but it's a lot heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a little better hardware performance than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and although they both have 2 cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has 6 GB more RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit better looking screen than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because it has a lot better 1440 x 2160 resolution, a larger display and a higher pixel density.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3. Both of them have a same resolution back facing camera, the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features much more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, because although it has no SD card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Samsung ATIV Tab 3 and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 both feature quite similar batteries performance.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Samsung ATIV Tab 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Samsung ATIV Tab 3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save a couple dollars and buy the Samsung ATIV Tab 3, resigning a couple features and specs.
