Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is just a bit better than Samsung Ativ Tab, getting a 72.2 score against 66.7. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's body is newer than Samsung Ativ Tab's, although it's a lot heavier and just a bit thicker. These tablets work with Windows OS, but Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has an older 8.1 Pro version while Samsung Ativ Tab has Windows RT version.
Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a processing unit that's very similar to Microsoft Surface Pro 3's processor, because although the Samsung Ativ Tab has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, it also counts with an extra GPU. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a sharper display than Samsung Ativ Tab, because it has more pixels per inch of display, a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2160 and a bigger display.
The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a camera that's just as good as the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 one, they have the same video frame rates, a 5 mega-pixels resolution back facing camera and the same (HD) video resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a superior memory capacity for games and applications than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.
Samsung Ativ Tab has a way better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 costs a little more money than Samsung Ativ Tab, but you can get a better tablet for that few extra dollars.
