Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a general score of 72.2, which is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's global score of 68.7. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's design is newer, but much heavier and thicker than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch comes with Android 4.2.2 OS.
The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a little bit better processing power than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also counts with an extra graphics processor. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a bit sharper display than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a much larger screen, a little higher pixel amount per inch of display and a lot better resolution of 1440 x 2160.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a superior memory for games and applications than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 480 GB more internal storage. The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch features a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Both have the same resolution camera in the back, the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video definition.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
