Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way better than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, with a overall score of 72.2 against 57.5. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, while Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids counts with Android 4.1 operating system. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids were released with only a few months difference, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 construction is much heavier but also just a little bit thinner than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with just a bit better processing power than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, and although they both have a Dual-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a bit sharper screen than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has more pixels per display inch, a lot bigger display and a lot higher 1440 x 2160px resolution.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features much more memory to store more apps and games than Samsung GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 shoots slightly better videos and photos than GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, because it has a back-facing camera with a way better 5 mega pixels resolution.

If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get GALAXY Tab 3 Kids, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
