Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is much better than the Xperia Tablet S, having a global score of 72.2 against 58.9. Even though the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is heavier than the Xperia Tablet S, it's notably thinner and also newer. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro OS, while Xperia Tablet S comes with Android 4.1.1 OS.

The Xperia Tablet S and Microsoft Surface Pro 3 have very similar CPUs, because although the Xperia Tablet S has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processor and a larger number of cores (but slower). Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Xperia Tablet S, because it has a bigger display, a much better 1440 x 2160 pixels resolution and a better pixels quantity in each screen inch.
