Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is slightly better than the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, having a global score of 72.2 against 69.8. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 comes with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system, and Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has Android 4.4.4 operating system. Even being the best in our current comparison, it must be noted that it is also notably thicker and a lot heavier.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet has a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has a quite smaller display and a bit lower resolution of 1200 x 1920px, it also counts with a little bit greater screen density. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much greater storage for apps and games than Xperia Z2 Tablet, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity.
Xperia Z2 Tablet counts with a bit faster processor than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with 2 more cpu cores and an additional graphics processor. Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet features a much better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 3. The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet captures a little bit better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet also has a back-facing camera with much more MP.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet.
