Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has a global score of 75.1, which is slightly better than the Lumia 2520's score of 68.6. Even though Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is much heavier than the Lumia 2520, it's just a little bit thinner and also newer. These tablets include Windows operating system, but Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has 10 Pro version while Lumia 2520 has Windows RT 8.1.
Lumia 2520 features a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, although it has a little worse pixels density, a way worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a quite smaller display. The Lumia 2520 counts with a lot better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because although it has 14 GB less RAM, it also counts with a higher number of cores and a graphics co-processor.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has a much bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Lumia 2520, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage capacity. Nokia Lumia 2520 counts with a way better battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface Pro 4.

If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Lumia 2520, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
