The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has an overall score of 75.1, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's global score of 68.7. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 construction is extremely newer than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch's, although it's noticeably heavier and thicker. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has Windows 10 Pro operating system, and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with Android 4.2.2 operating system.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 features a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a much bigger display, a much better 1824 x 2736 resolution and a better pixels number in each screen inch. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a lot better performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor and more CPU cores. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures a bit better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, although it has a way lower resolution back facing camera and a much worse video quality.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a much better battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro 4.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 4, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, resigning some specifications.
