The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 has an overall score of 75.1, which is just a bit better than Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's 71.3 overall score. Microsoft Surface Pro 4's construction is newer than the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact's, but it's thicker and much heavier. The Microsoft Surface Pro 4 works with Windows 10 Pro OS, while Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact comes with Android 4.4 OS.
Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because although it has a lot worse resolution of 1920 x 1200 and a lot smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit higher display pixels density. The Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact features a much better processing power than Microsoft Surface Pro 4, because although it has lesser RAM, it also counts with more cores and an additional graphics co-processor.

So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 4, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, resigning a couple features and specifications.
