Comparison review
The Acer Iconia W4 has an overall score of 59.3, which is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface RT's global score of 58.4. These tablets work with Windows OS (Operating System), but the Acer Iconia W4 has 8.1 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT. The Acer Iconia W4 design is noticeably lighter but just a bit thicker than Microsoft Surface RT.
Microsoft Surface RT features just a bit better hardware performance than Acer Iconia W4, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and a Quad-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an additional graphics processor. Acer Iconia W4 features a sharper screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a bit lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with more pixels per inch of display.

Acer Iconia W4 counts with a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video definition and the same video frame rates, the Acer Iconia W4 also has a lot more MP back-facing camera.
Although Acer Iconia W4 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most out of your savings.
