Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface RT is just a bit better than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, having a global score of 58.4 against 58. The Microsoft Surface RT is an older, just a little bit thicker and noticeably heavier device than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS, while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with Android 4.2.2 OS.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a lot better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and much more pixels per inch of display. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has a slower graphics processor running at 450 MHz, they both have 2 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit.
Microsoft Surface RT has a much better storage for games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 64 GB internal storage. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's battery performance is just as good as the battery life in Microsoft Surface RT. Microsoft Surface RT captures greater pictures and videos than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
Although Microsoft Surface RT is a better device, it costs more than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface RT, else you can save some money and get the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, giving up some specs and features.
