Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 has a general score of 60.4, which is a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT's global score of 58.4. The Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 is a way lighter and somewhat thinner tablet device than Microsoft Surface RT. The Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 comes with Android 4.3 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT operating system.
The Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 features a better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 1280 x 800 and a lot smaller display, it also counts with more pixels per inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface RT features a little faster processing unit than Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has a higher amount of RAM memory and a faster GPU.
Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 takes much better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same (HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 also has a much more MP back camera. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 features a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
Although Huawei MediaPad T1 8.0 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Microsoft Surface RT, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
