Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 is just a bit better than Microsoft Surface RT, having a general score of 63.4 against 58.4. Microsoft Surface 2 is a newer tablet, and it's also just a little thinner and just a bit lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT. Both tablets in this comparison work with Windows OS, but Microsoft Surface 2 has newer RT 8.1 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT version.
The Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have a display of the same size, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a better resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a higher count of pixels per display inch. Microsoft Surface 2's storage capacity to install games and applications is just as good as the Microsoft Surface RT one, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has no SD memory card expansion slot, they both have the same internal memory capacity.
The Microsoft Surface RT features a little bit better processing power than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory and a Quad-Core processing unit, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an additional GPU. Microsoft Surface 2 has a lot better camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a back-facing camera with a way higher resolution.
Microsoft Surface 2's battery life is just as good as the Microsoft Surface RT one.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Microsoft Surface 2, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go some features and specs.
