Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 3 has a general score of 66.3, which is better than Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 overall score. Microsoft Surface 3's design is newer, just a bit lighter and a little thinner than Microsoft Surface RT. The Microsoft Surface 3 features a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a way higher resolution of 1920 x 1280, a higher pixels density and a little bit bigger display.
Microsoft Surface 3 has a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage. Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also counts with an additional graphics processing unit.
The Microsoft Surface 3 takes greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rates, the Microsoft Surface 3 also has a back facing camera with a way higher resolution. The Microsoft Surface 3's battery performance is just as good as Microsoft Surface RT's battery performance.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
