Comparison review

Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a 65.1 score against 58.4. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 construction is newer, but extremely thicker and notably heavier than the Microsoft Surface RT. Both tablets in this comparison work with Windows OS (operating system), but the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has an older 8.1 Pro version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT.

The Microsoft Surface RT has just a bit better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because although it has less RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics co-processor and a higher number of cores (although slower). The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 has a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have a same size screen, the Microsoft Surface Pro 2 also has a greater count of pixels per inch of display and a higher resolution of 1080 x 1920px.

Microsoft Surface RT shoots way better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro 2, because it has a much higher (Full HD) video resolution. The Microsoft Surface Pro 2 features a much greater storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage.

Microsoft Surface Pro 2's battery performance is very similar to Microsoft Surface RT's battery performance.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save some money, you can get Microsoft Surface RT, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
