Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a lot better than Microsoft Surface RT, getting a general score of 72.2 against 58.4. Microsoft Surface Pro 3's design is newer and a little thinner than Microsoft Surface RT's, although it's also heavier. Both devices in this comparison review use Windows OS, but the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has 8.1 Pro version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT version.

Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a much better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a way higher 1440 x 2160 resolution, a quite larger screen and a better screen density. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 448 GB more internal memory.

Microsoft Surface RT features a bit more powerful processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit and a larger number of cores (but slower). Microsoft Surface Pro 3 and Microsoft Surface RT have quite similar batteries.

The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 captures much better pictures and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 also has a lot more MP back-facing camera.

Although Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save a few dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, and give up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your savings.
