The Nokia N1 has a general score of 66, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT's 58.4 global score. Nokia N1 is a way newer tablet, and it's also noticeably lighter and incredibly thinner than the Microsoft Surface RT. Nokia N1 counts with Android 5.0 operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system.

The Nokia N1 features an incredibly better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a way smaller display, it also counts with a way higher 2048 x 1536px resolution and a way higher pixels density. The Nokia N1 has a quite better performance than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have a 2 GB RAM and the same number of cores, the Nokia N1 also has a much better graphics co-processor working at 600 MHz and a 64-bits processor.

Nokia N1 captures greater photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Nokia N1 also has a lot more MP camera in the back. The Microsoft Surface RT has a much greater memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Nokia N1, because it has 32 GB more internal storage.

The Nokia N1 features a way better battery duration than Microsoft Surface RT.

Although Nokia N1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. If you are trying to save some money, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
