The Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch has a general score of 80, which is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT's overall score of 58.4. Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch is a newer and notably thinner tablet than the Microsoft Surface RT, but it's also just a little heavier. Both of these tablets have Windows OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch has the older 10 version while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT.

The Galaxy Book 12-inch features just a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has a greater amount of pixels per inch of screen, a bit larger screen and a much better resolution of 2160 x 1440. Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch features a little better processing power than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has 2 less CPU cores and doesn't have an extra graphics processor, it also counts with more RAM.

The Galaxy Book 12-inch features a much greater memory capacity to install applications and games than Microsoft Surface RT, because it has 256 GB internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch features a greater camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch also has a back camera with way more megapixels.
