Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE is slightly better than the Microsoft Surface RT, getting a 62.5 score against 58.4. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE comes with Android 3.1 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE design is lighter and a little bit thinner than Microsoft Surface RT.

The Microsoft Surface RT features a greater performance than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has a graphics processor, a higher number of cores and a higher amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE counts with a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little bit smaller screen and a little lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a just a bit greater pixel number per inch in the display.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE captures a lot better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE also has a back-facing camera with a much better resolution. The Microsoft Surface RT counts with a much bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE counts with a much longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.

Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE is a better device, it costs a lot more than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 10.1 LTE, else you can save some dollars and buy the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go some specs and features.
