Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT, getting a 65 score against 58.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T)'s design is a little bit thicker but somewhat lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT, and they were released with only 3 months difference. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) comes with Android 4.1 operating system, while Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system.

Microsoft Surface RT has a bit more powerful processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because it has 2 more processing cores , a better 520 megahertz graphics processor and a larger amount of RAM. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) features a little more vivid screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little smaller display and a little bit worse 800 x 1280 pixels resolution, it also counts with a little bit better display density.

The Microsoft Surface RT has a much bigger storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T), because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) takes much better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) also has a way better 3 MP resolution back facing camera.

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) has a much longer battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.

Although Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (AT&T) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your money.
