Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is much better than the Microsoft Surface RT, having a general score of 65.9 against 58.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch works with Android 4.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT has Windows RT operating system. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a newer tablet, and it is also a lot lighter and thinner than Microsoft Surface RT.
Microsoft Surface RT counts with a bit better processor than Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because it has a higher amount of RAM, a higher number of cores and an additional GPU. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a display that is just as good as Microsoft Surface RT's display, because although the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch has a little worse 800 x 1280 resolution and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per inch of display.
Microsoft Surface RT has a slightly bigger storage to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a really longer battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface RT.
The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch features a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (HD) video resolution, the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch also has a lot more mega pixels back camera.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Microsoft Surface RT. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1-inch, but if you don't you can save some money and get the Microsoft Surface RT, letting go a couple specifications.
