The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface RT, getting a 60.4 score against 58.4. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and Microsoft Surface RT comes with Windows RT OS. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a newer device, and it is also just a bit thinner and notably lighter than Microsoft Surface RT.

The Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a little sharper display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a little lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a higher number of pixels per display inch. Microsoft Surface RT has a very superior storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

Microsoft Surface RT has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab A (2016), and although they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface RT also has an extra graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) features a way better battery life than Microsoft Surface RT.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video quality, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) also has a camera in the back with a way better resolution.

Galaxy Tab A (2016) costs more money than the Microsoft Surface RT, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
