The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a global score of 74.6, which is much better than Microsoft Surface RT's overall score of 58.4. The Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 works with Android 4.4 OS, and Microsoft Surface RT works with Windows RT OS. Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a newer tablet, and it's also extremely thinner and a lot lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT.
Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a little better hardware performance than Microsoft Surface RT, although it has a worse GPU working at 450 MHz, they both have 4 cpu cores and a 2 GB RAM memory. Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a way better screen than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1600 x 2560 resolution and way more pixels per inch in the screen.
The Microsoft Surface RT features slightly more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal memory capacity. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 features a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface RT.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 counts with a very superior camera than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 also has a back-facing camera with a way better 8 MP resolution.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Microsoft Surface RT, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Microsoft Surface RT. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Microsoft Surface RT, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
