The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is much better than Microsoft Surface RT, having a 74.3 score against 58.4. The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a newer tablet, and it's also way thinner and incredibly lighter than the Microsoft Surface RT. Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with Android 4.4.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface RT counts with Windows RT operating system.
The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has a bit faster processor than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with 1 GB more RAM memory and a greater number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 features a way better display than Microsoft Surface RT, because although it has a bit smaller display, it also counts with a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560px and a much better quantity of pixels per display inch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 takes way better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface RT, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has a back camera with lot more MP.
